immediately fell in love with the business. While attending high school, she was able to participate in a cosmetology
program. At the age of 17 she graduated high school with her cosmetology license. Immediately after graduation, Evelyn
went to work for a Plano based chain. Evelyn’s skill in hair design and her love for people was noticed, and after only a year
and a half she was asked to manage one of their brand new locations. It was her responsibility to stock, decorate, open and
manage the new location. Evelyn had a natural ability to manage people by helping them achieve their goals. She found
that she really loved helping and seeing people achieve their goals. With her servant heart, she knew how to service
clients. Within a year and a half, this location was the number one producing salon out of seven. Evelyn was then promoted
to district manager. She would eventually open and be in charge of four locations. After five fast paced years, Evelyn
decided to take her skill in hair design to the next level.
In 1993 Evelyn became a national educator for Paul Mitchell. This title is only awarded to those individuals who complete a
rigorous training and testing program. As a National Educator, she was able to train and develop other hair stylists on the
latest Paul Mitchell techniques and products on stage at tradeshows or in a class room setting. This further strengthened
her love for helping people succeed in the business. In august of 1994, Evelyn finally took a leap of faith and ventured out
on her own. She leased her own little space in a multi-suit salon. There she put her talent and knowledge to the test. She
was able to take all she had done and learned and make a business for herself. She significantly increased her client base.
In four and a half years she was able to grow from a one man, 60 square foot room, to three rooms and an assistant.
Evelyn decided to move to a larger multi-suite salon located in a prestigious area of Plano. There she applied all the same
principals. Her drive to grow and share her knowledge led her to hire an apprentice. She also implemented skin care where
she hired and trained a skin care therapist.
In September 2004, Evelyn took her business to the next level and opened her own store front located in an upscale area
of Plano. She continues to train and develop stylists who enter her apprenticeship program as well as providing advance
training to leaders of the industry. Her core team is called Team Platinum which showcases the extraordinary talents of only
the top graduates of her mentoring program. She provides a place where master stylists can work together, yet be
independent so they too can achieve their dreams. Evelyn's 20 years of experience and willingness to share have made her
one of the best master stylists and educators in North Texas.
